28 Mar BKC’s Newest Kitchen Showroom Display
Introducing BKC Kitchen and Bath’s newest showroom display, featuring contemporary cabinets by Crystal Cabinet Works.
Sleek Cabinetry
Contemporary style has become increasingly popular in the home. This is especially true within the current boom of new construction and renovation in the Denver area. Frameless cabinets offer a variety of benefits: additional storage space, sleek elements typically found in European-inspired design, and a fresh, streamlined appearance. In addition to the visual sparseness of the design, the utilization of space is an important design element.
Recently, two of our BKC designers took on the creative challenge of designing a new kitchen cabinet showroom display that would allow our clients to see the virtually unlimited options of contemporary style as offered by Crystal Cabinet Works. The prominent finish in this new display features the UV Lacquered SOHO door style that is manufactured in Italy before being sent to Crystal’s factory in Minnesota for quality assurance.
Streamlined Appearance
Our designers opted to eliminate cabinet knobs and pulls on the back wall. To achieve this, they installed an automatic Servo-drive tip-up door to the flush inset oven tower. For ease of use, they added “J” channels to the lower cabinet drawers and fold-up doors to the upper cabinets. Several of the cabinets, including the 96″ tall pantry with custom walnut interior, feature automatic sensors, which operate the interior lighting function. When a door is pulled open, the light within automatically clicks on, then off again when the door is closed.
A trio of floating wall cabinets with back painted glass breaks up the design while maintaining the same sleek look as the rest of the display. The island features a contrasting color in the same SOHO door style. There is ample storage within, plus an automatic Servo-drive that controls the trash pull-out.
For consistency, the island cabinets feature elongated doors that extend all the way to the floor. This eliminates the need for toe kick and accentuates the streamlined look. A custom-made wood bar top with a waterfall edge sits on the Dekton ® counter, adding an additional layer of visual interest.
Contemporary design does not have limits in variety, customization or technology. Whether for kitchen or bath, frameless design can be a beautiful addition. For a closer look, stop into our Denver cabinets showroom and experience our new display for yourself.
