Congress Park, located in the heart of Denver, is a vibrant and charming neighborhood known for its tree-lined streets, historic homes, and close-knit community atmosphere. The client of this home remodel envisioned a spacious kitchen centered around a massive island to serve as both a focal point and a functional area for entertaining guests. Additionally, he desired a light, bright, and modern space that seamlessly combines aesthetics with functionality.
We aimed to design a kitchen that not only met the client’s interest in entertaining friends but also served as a stylish and modern centerpiece of the home.
The client requested no appliances on the island, except for a bar fridge. Therefore, the primary challenge was to fit all the necessary appliances along the back wall while still preserving ample counter space.
We made use of every inch of wall space to maximize storage and functionality. This allowed us to create a 165″ long by 60″ deep island with a 6CM countertop and 6CM dual waterfall edges, which helped to alleviate the concern of minimal counter space on the back wall.
